Nursery Manager - Bloomingdale Store
We are searching for a qualified person to oversee the operation of our woody ornamentals and outdoor bagged products department. The nursery manager is responsible for the complete department including profitability. Primary duties include staff development (6 to 10 people, including hiring and training), purchasing, selling, merchandising/display and cultural care. An ideal position for an active hand’s on manager with a passion for horticultural retailing.
Qualifications: Minimum three years full time work experience in the horticulture field, 4 year degree from an accredited college, detailed knowledge of zone 4&5 woody ornamentals, physical ability to perform the tasks that come with this job.
Nursery Grower / Assistant Nursery Manager - Bloomingdale Store
This position is a back up to the nursery manager, but with a focus and responsibility for the potting and production of our homegrown plant material. Primary duties include retail customer service, staff supervision (3-5 people), care of plants, irrigation, fertilization, potting, pruning and pest control. If you like growing and retailing, this is the position for you.
Qualifications: 3 years experience in our industry, 2 year degree, pesticide applicators license, physical abilities to do this job.
